Additional info:
Saturday Drama Club is one of the most free-form/flexible programs we offer.
Parents can stay for the whole session if you'd like, or come back at the end to watch the show (they do a new performance each week). They're just short, fun performances that help the kids get their feet wet in performing.
It is more about storytelling – creating a story and acting it out. It just gives kids the basic idea of what's involved in putting on a play, and nurturing their comfort level for performing in front of people. It's a stepping stone to the more formal programs.
They have a variety of snacks available, but many kids bring their own. Don't pack a big lunch, though. And there's only water available from a drinking fountain in the hallway, so you may want to send along a beverage as well (resealable bottles are better than cans).
Saturday Drama Club is held in the black box, the back corner room of the left side hallway, which abuts the main auditorium on the upper ground floor.
If you get there a few minutes early you can talk to the counselor, who can answer any further questions.
