Very Merry has three musicals and one stage-play that are currently being created: Pinocchio, The Count of Monte Cristo, Treasure Island and A Comedy of Errors. Stay tuned to our Summer Camps and 333 page to find out when these classic stories will be offered. Our composers, Jim Wolvington and Bill Mullins, are hard at work writing music with writer and lyricist, Don Wright.

The Saturday morning drama club meets nearly every Saturday at 333 from 10am to 1pm. Kids of all ages are welcome to come join the fun as we create characters, songs, dances, stage fights, clown routines, and finish with a performance! We play theater games, have a singalong, enjoy nutritious snacks, and have great fun with our group of Very Merry teen counselors. Call Don at 355-1461 for more information. No need to pre-register, just show up at the door!

Very Merry Theatre announced the start up of "The Shakespeare Project: Playing with the Bard" this past summer. Collaborating with UVM English Professor, Andrew Barnaby, and other local artists, Very Merry will be offering a variety of opportunities for children of all ages to explore the Bard's works: perform in a play, explore language through scene and sonnet presentation, learn the art of stage fighting, create an Elizabethan song and dance, and much more. VMT has long included the works of Shakespeare at camps and in school productions, including A Midsummer Night's Dream, Romeo and Juliet, The Tempest, King Lear, Macbeth, The Winter's Tale and Twelfth Night. Carrying on in this tradition we'll be offering even more opportunities at 333 and elsewhere in the coming years, including an adaptation of A Comedy of Errors that will hit the boards this winter.
